From the Editor

Well, here we have another online issue but we have no idea at the moment how many of you will be reading this. We know that you would prefer a printed copy like pre-pandemic days but it isn't that easy to produce one at present. It costs quite a bit to print and that cost is covered by advertising and given that everyone is only just finding their feet, we don't have any commitments. We need to make sure most of the previous advertisers and maybe some new ones would be happy to run an advert in a new launch and that takes time to organise.

On top of that, the idea of distributing copies around the pubs would only work if the pubs are happy to have copies and that is currently an unknown. Obviously, if we want to get back to putting copies out as before, it will take some planning and effort. As we head towards the latter part of the year, we have no idea what this Covid pandemic has in store and although we hope we are out of the woods now, who really knows? It looks, at the moment, that nothing will be in place before 2022 as there is so much to do. Let's see what the next few months bring by which time we should have a much better view of the path ahead.

Now that we are able to go out to the pub, not necessarily with all restrictions removed,life is starting to return to some form of normality and physical branch meetings are now on the horizon; nothing wrong with Zoom as a means of keeping in touch but it isn't the same as face-to-face, is it?
